Bollywood celebrities setting right example as all were seen stepping out early today to cast their votes in the Maharashtra Assembly elections and fulfill their civic duty. The voting for all 288 seats of the Maharastra legislative assembly is taking place today (November 20). Voters in Maharashtra are heading to the polls to vote, which will decide the future of the state’s ruling and opposition parties. While who’s who of Bollywood were papped after casting vote, what stole our attention was Salman Khan arriving amid tight security to fulfil his duty.
Salman Khan looks dapper as he gets clicked after casting vote
Superstar Salman Khan is at the Mount Mary School polling booth to cast his vote. Due to the ongoing threats against him, he was accompanied by heavy security. Videos that have surfaced on social media show the actor posing for photographs with fans outside polling booth. The superstar was seen rocking a grey t-shirt with jeans, and a black cap. He is seen stepping out of his car, before making his way to the polling station.
Apart from Salman, his family was also clicked at their designated polling booths. During the wee hours, his parents Salim Khan and mom Sushila Charak stepped out to vote.
Later, Salman’s younger brother, actor Sohail Khan also arrived to cast his vote. After he successfully carried out his democratic duty, Sohail told the media, “It’s a responsibility to vote and I request everyone to come and vote.”
Some time back, Arbaaz Khan and his wife Sshura arrived to cast their vote. They smiled for the paparazzi stationed there.
On the work front, Salman will next be seen in Sikander. It also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Prateik Babbar and Sharman Joshi in pivotal roles. The film is directed by A R Murugadoss and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala.
